Books for Children:
Reading books to a young child on a daily basis
provides consistent and constant rehearsal of early childhood
concepts as well as fostering appropriate social engagement. Please
consider the following recommended books grouped according to
the topics that they promote.
These books are colorful, stimulating and well-loved by pre-schoolers.
The pictures are concrete and allow for easy visual comprehension.
The books reinforce concepts taught in education and language
sessions and promote enjoyable rehearsal sessions.
Since most of these books are utilized in nursery school programs,
they provide opportunities to prepare children for future group
activities.
